Sr. Business Architect Associate

About this Opportunity

Responsible for creating and managing business process documentation including modeling and digitizing processes to enable enterprise capability to deliver Business Architecture solutions. The Sr. Process Design Associate will be responsible for using a collaborative approach to digitizing business processes. Supports design thinking and process and decision modeling using BPMN compliant methodologies and tools. This role will integrate process modeling into DTCC risk management resilience framework. Process documentation will support process reimagination and deliver best in class client experience by incorporating customer journeys across our product portfolio. Apply deep process design experience with BPM and other technologies to document and keep process libraries current.

The Global Operations, Client Services & Administration group delivers world-class safety and soundness for the global financial services industry. What You'll Do

  • Support process re-engineering by documenting and analyzing, current and future state business processes including key performance indicators (KPIs), service level agreements (SLAs), business reports, process metrics, and process diagrams
  • Apply Business Architecture frameworks and methodologies to process documentation
  • Identify requirements to enable a common approach for process design and analysis
  • Leverage procedures, job aids, SME interview/shadowing to map current state business processes
  • Drive process standardization across prioritized business areas
  • Perform deep dive process reviews with key SMEs and stakeholders
  • Incorporate feedback and iterate to ensure accurate depiction of current state processes
  • Analyze and modify process models to enable continuous process improvement
  • Consider various technology solutions (e.g. RPA, BPM, AI, BI) and provide suggestions on how to leverage them in process re-design to increase enterprise performance – while working with respective SMEs
  • Support workstreams and projects to design business architecture artifacts and deliverables to produce expected business case and value proposition (risk, resilience, complexity, reuse, total cost of ownership etc.)
  • Document target state re-imagined business processes based on collaboration with IT and partners in business and functional areas
  • Create effective working relationships with business teams, and key subject matter experts
  • Mitigate risk by following established procedures, spotting key errors, and demonstrating strong ethical behavior
  • Aligns risk and control processes into day to day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately

    Sound Like You?

    • Minimum of 6 years of related experience
    • Bachelor's degree preferred with Masters or equivalent experience

    Additional Qualifications

    • Experience in banking, capital markets, or financial operations preferred
    • Familiar with process improvement methodologies a plus (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.)
    • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
    • Proficient with Excel, PowerPoint, and Business Process Mapping tools
    • Business Process Management certification a plus
