About this Opportunity

Enterprise Application Support (EAS) provides centralized application and infrastructure support for all critical business applications and infrastructure support.


The EAS Principal Application Support Engineer is be responsible for providing technical leadership in supporting all the application suites within DTCC, including Global Trade Repository (GTR) application suite and all ITP applications. The role will be executing all aspects of the operating procedures/runbooks within a predefined shift pattern. This role is a technical liaison with development teams, the Enterprise Infrastructure teams and internal business clients to resolve and escalate technical support incidents where necessary.

The team delivers high-quality information through activities that include development of essential, building infrastructure capabilities to meet client needs and implementing data standards and governance.


Department: Enterprise Infrastructure

Enterprise Infrastructure delivers infrastructure capabilities that emphasize the collaboration between development and infrastructure to meet business needs. This is done by providing technology services that are agile, timely, cost-effective, and risk appropriate.


What You'll Do

The primary responsible role will be for providing technical leadership in Application support with other responsibilities

Provides 24x7 production support for event monitoring, incident triage and escalation.

Will be responsible to guide and mentor Junior team members.

Will be responsible for Identify and implement efficiencies and improvements to standard processes and procedures such as automation through scripting, programming, etc. Assist with key projects by executing task deliverables and ensuring permit-to-operate (PTO) guidelines are met

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.


Additional Qualifications

10+ years ‘experience in a production application support role, including 2+ years technical leadership experience.

Extensive experience with application support with programming skills, analysis of the and debugging skills

Strong understanding of different technologies such as:

Database – Oracle, Sybase, MS SQL, DB2

Middleware technologies – WebSphere Application Server, WebSphere MQ, Java, JRE

Gemfire in memory Cache technology

Informatica Data quality and Data hub

Cognos and IBM Workflow

Cloud Computing – AWS, CloudWatch, Cloud Formation

General knowledge of industry principles and modern technologies like cloud computing, virtualization, etc.

Should have Excellent communication and customer service skills

Bachelor's degree required, Masters preferred or equivalent experience
