Business Unit Description:
Enterprise Infrastructure (EI) delivers infrastructure capabilities that emphasize the collaboration between development and infrastructure to meet business needs. This is done by providing technology services that are agile, timely, cost-effective, and risk appropriate.

Position Summary:
Working in partnership with the Engineering Lead, the Service Owner is a strategic thought-leader for Enterprise Infrastructure (EI). The Service Owner is responsible for guiding one or more IT services throughout their entire lifecycle, developing and promoting the services strategy and is responsible for the content and delivery of the service portfolio. The Service Owner is centrally responsible for their all services, associated technology components, and processes.  

Specific Responsibilities:
  • Create and implement a service strategy and roadmap that includes plans for modifications and maintenance; ensure adequate socialization
  • Identify, review and design solutions for creating or improving the service
  • Ensure service is designed and delivered in accordance with agreed business requirements, including security and resiliency 
  • Ensure the right technology solutions, capabilities, and tools are used; review on-premises 
  • Market key service aspects to increase / decrease usage based on strategy
  • Discontinue services and aspects that are no longer needed
  • Understand cost drivers and levers for driving efficiencies and savings, and leverage where possible
  • Provide necessary insights for annual budget; analyze budget variances and recommend / implement corrective actions
  • Align business requirements with market options to identify and select external service provider(s) that best meet business needs 
  • Build influential partnerships with key stakeholders in IT and business to enable and drive desired change 
  • Partner with IT and business management to develop business cases and prioritize IT investment decisions
  • Manage stakeholder interactions and expectations; participate in business planning discussions and general reviews with the business
  • Keep up with technology and capability developments, and ensure that the business functions are aware of and/or utilizing the most effective solutions 
  • Possess the expert knowledge to identify opportunities for change; drive communication and implementation of change as appropriate. 
  • Mitigates risk by following established procedures and monitoring controls, spotting key errors and demonstrating strong ethical behavior.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 7 years of related experience including 2-4 years technical experience working in an agile IT environment with a strong knowledge of industry data products (i.e., databases, data intelligence, and data integration) and general IT infrastructure
  • 2-4 years working in the role of IT Product Manager, with an expertise in Infrastructure technologies and services in particular, data technologies, including multiple database types, data integration, artificial intelligence
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
