The Team

IT Architecture translates long and short-term strategic business plans into design and implementation plans for technology software applications and systems infrastructure. IT Architecture defines corporate standards for technology in support of those strategic business plans. IT Architecture works collaboratively with internal customers to ensure secure, strategy compliant, and efficient delivery of systems to DTCC clients.

The Senior Architect is responsible for creating, communicating, and facilitating adherence to the enterprise system architecture, technology strategy, standards, best practice, policies and procedures. Collaborates with a broad range of stakeholders including business, Application Development, risk domains, operations, external clients and vendors. Position requires highly advanced technical skills in multiple technical domains along with demonstrated ability to design and implement systems that contributes to the technology strategy, vision, requirements, and solutions for large-scale initiatives.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Leads and enables collaboration across all specialties, provides thought leadership and direction, reviews application plans and designs.
  • Develops and documents technology architecture solutions, including designs, guidelines and architecture-specific standards for enterprise-wide implementation to enable repeatable, faster, and compliant delivery to our customers.
  • Maintains understanding of existing DTCC applications and technology solutions for leveraging the reuse of services and for the consolidation of services.
  • Participates in the design, specification, and implementation of business and technology projects ensuring all deliveries adhere to architectural best practices, standards, and guidance.
  • Recommends and promotes Industry specific best practices, standards and regulations and functional best practices for the enterprise to identify potential areas where standards may need change due to changing business requirements or changes in technology environment.
  • Mitigates risk and control by following established procedures, spotting key errors and demonstrating strong ethical behavior.
Your Talents needed for success:
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in IT (3+ years of Architectural experience preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline; Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 5+ years of hands-on development experience in Java, C# or similar language
  • Experience with multiple programming languages preferred
  • Cloud development experience preferred
