Business Unit Description:

The Global Operations, Client Services & Administration group delivers world-class safety and soundness for the global financial services industry. The team provides DTCC’s portfolio of core securities and superior transaction processing and client services support in an environment that minimizes risk and cost while maximizing efficiency.

Position Summary:

The position is with the Custody Reorg/Reorg Deposits teams to provide direct oversight over the processing of: mandatory corporate actions, full or partial calls, CD redemptions, tender and exchange offers, convertible security and warrant subscription exercises as directed by the clients.  Responsibilities include, processing time critical customer facing transactions involving physical certificates, responding to phone and on-line customer inquiries, interacting with internal and external stakeholders such as transfer, reorg, paying and redemption agents and other internal DTC departments.  

The incumbent manages the day-to-day department activities, coordinates assignments, special projects and is responsible for managing any or all of the aforementioned functions, reporting client and vault activity, project management, risk mitigation, staff development, coaching and performance management.

Specific Responsibilities:
  • Reviews MIS reports to ensure department metrics and operations’ goals are being met
  • Reviews exception conditions with the senior analysts, team leads and senior management and recommends appropriate courses of action 
  • Oversees management testing process and activities related to audits, risk management and business continuity as needed   
  • Interacts collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders  
  • Provides coverage for daily vault opening and closing
  • Ensures compliance with existing metrics, benchmarks and SLAs
  • Provides regular reports to senior management regarding department performance against targets
  • Performs a wide range of administrative tasks including vacation approvals, transaction approvals, report reviews, etc.
  • Assists management on routine automation/product development functions and in systems testing as needed. 
  • Assists senior management, AD and product management with the development of new business, systems, revenue streams and enhancements to existing ones
  • Creates Business Require Documents and automation requests for ADM and Business Automation and Reports
  • Authors responses to audit findings, changes procedures accordingly and ensures all staff are trained on new and existing procedures
  • Executes at the department level, all actions related to compliance, regulatory guidelines and audits
  • Leads the department in adherence to AML/BSA policies and procedures as set-fourth by various regulatory bodies
  • Maintains an understanding of current as well as assessing the impact of new or revised Compliance/Regulatory related laws, regulations and regulatory guidance which apply to their respective department or business area
  • Responsible for conducting, reviewing, analyzing, resolving, and escalating the results of any manual or automated OFAC screening, Section 311 and other compliance/regulatory related screening conducted by the business unit. 
  • Mitigates risk by following established procedures and monitoring controls, spotting key errors and demonstrating strong ethical behavior.

  • Minimum of 7 years of related experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred with Masters or equivalent experience
