Business Unit Description:


The Global Operations, Client Services & Administration group delivers world-class safety and soundness for the global financial services industry. The team provides DTCC’s portfolio of core securities and superior transaction processing and client services support in an environment that minimizes risk and cost while maximizing efficiency.


Position Summary:


The Associate is a key front-line position in the vital equity clearance department.  Perform all routine and complex functions, handle exception processing, take part in problem resolution, risk mitigation and assist in driving process improvements.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of Corporate Actions (Voluntary and Mandatory Reorgs) relative to NSCC
  • Knowledge of Dividends (Stock, Cash, Spin-offs, Pay in Kind, Taxable events) relative to NSCC
  • Knowledge of various NSCC Products (CNS, ACATS, OW, UTC, ETF, CMU, SMART/Track for Buy-ins and Corporate Actions) a plus
  • Aptitude to perform day-to-day processing activities
  • Analyzes and proposes improvements to automated and manual processes
  • Ensures departmental procedure documents and job aids are accurate, robust and up-to-date
  • Communicates with confidence and creates a credible impression internally and externally, ensuring that information presented is current and accurate
  • Manages procedural exception processing and surfaces “red flag” exception conditions for escalation
  • Strong understanding of business related metrics and assists manager in ensuring business goals are met
  • Aligns risk and control processes into day to day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately
  • Assists management, AD and Product Management with the development of new systems and enhancements to existing ones up with customers to establish action plans specific to feedback
  • Maintain an unrelenting focus on meeting the needs/requests of our clients; including responding to client inquiries timely and accurately (in line with departmental benchmarks/metrics), and in resolving, and/or escalating problems promptly.

  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred with Masters or equivalent experience
