Business Unit Description:
The Reorganization department processes transactions related to changes made to the capital structure or financial position of DTC-eligible securities in which outstanding securities must be surrendered on behalf of customers in exchange for cash or new securities, or a combination thereof. Voluntary corporate actions include tender and exchange offers, puts, convertible security and warrant subscription exercises and rights offers. This area interacts with customers, agents, issuers and counsel, exchanges and internal business units to announce and process reorganization events.
Position Summary:
The Voluntary Reorganization Associate performs all routine and complex functions associated with the announcement and processing of Voluntary Reorganization events. 
Tasks include but are not limited to event creation (identification and announcement of event terms and conditions), accepting and balancing voluntary instructions and inventory positions, surrendering securities, collecting and allocating cash and/or stock entitlements to customers and closing out completed events.
Specific Responsibilities:

  • Creates Voluntary Reorganization events and performs all tasks associated with the allocation of cash and/or stock to customers
  • Provides input to develop/modify procedures and controls in order to reduce risk 
  • Interacts with participants, paying agents, transfer agents, exchanges, and other DTC operational areas while ensuring strict adherence to procedures and critical time frames
  • Supplies information to Asset Services and Billing Support in response to customers’ inquiries. 
  • Assists with routine automation/product development functions and in-system testing as needed.
  • Aligns risk and control processes into day to day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately
  • Maintain an unrelenting focus on meeting the needs/requests of our clients; including responding to client inquiries timely and accurately (in line with departmental benchmarks/metrics), and in resolving, and/or escalating problems promptly.
  • Aligns risk and control processes into day to day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately
