Business Unit Description:

The mission of the Client Operations team is to ensure client success by providing our global client base and partners an exceptional best-in-class support experience across our portfolio of service offerings.

Position Summary:

The Connectivity Generalist is responsible for providing reliable production and test support for DTCC’s clients, vendors and exchanges.  The Connectivity Generalist executes routine and complex transactions with minimal supervision referring the most complex and risk related transactions to management.  The Connectivity Generalist will interact with customers to assess problems and gather information that must be escalated and understand the operational procedures and systems.


Specific Responsibilities:

  • Provide connectivity and technical support for DTCC’s clients, vendors and exchanges.
  • Recommends work process improvements and may serve on process improvement teams to act as subject matter expert.
  • Provide connectivity and technical support for DTCC’s subsidiaries which include NSCC, DTC, FICC and DTCC Solutions. Serve as an escalation point of contact for outages and Major Incident events.  
  • In depth understanding of how the transfer protocols work including FTP/S, SFTP, IBM MQ Messaging, Connect: Direct – Network Data Mover (NDM), including detailed knowledge of which DTCC departments are involved in supporting each protocol.
  • Ability to resolve customer problems with little or no supervision.
  • Assist/direct more junior staff in the absence of the manager.
  • Handle all setup procedures and determine alternate methods to process customer requests should a roadblock occur.
  • The candidate will be required to work in a number of different environments including Linux/Unix and IBM Mainframe, utilizing various managed file transfer middleware infrastructure systems. 
  • Aligns risk and control processes into day to day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately

  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred with Masters or equivalent experience
