Business Unit Description:

Our Risk Management teams work to protect the safety and soundness of our systems and are responsible for identifying, managing, measuring and mitigating a spectrum of key risk types including credit, market, liquidity, systemic, operational and technology in all existing and new products, activities, processes and systems.

Position Summary:

The incumbent will be responsible for supporting the ongoing maintenance of the credit risk governance framework including policies, procedures, tools, metrics and escalation protocols for the Credit Policy and Control team.

Specific Responsibilities:
  • Support the strategic framework of the CCR department’s risk policies, procedures and best practices.
  • Coordinate the preparation of responses to both internal and external examining authorities, to ensure timeliness of regulatory inquiries.
  • Participate in the testing of randomly selected completed daily surveillance and annual reviews to ensure consistent quality and timeliness of delivery. 
  • Maintain metrics outlining the findings of quality assurance reviews.
  • Track performance, as prescribed in CCR Policy and Procedures, for timeliness of ongoing surveillance.
  • Collaborate and support CPC initiatives, in conjunction with other business partners, within the organization to identify synergies to enhance the credit review process.
  • Cultivate the behaviors and competencies that promote a risk management mindset within the organization.
  • Promote an environment of regulatory awareness and ensure regulatory compliance within CCR
  • Aligns risk and control processes into day to day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of related experience
  • Bachelor's degree preferred with Masters or equivalent experience
  • Understanding of regulatory rules and regulations
