Business Unit Description:

The Marketing & Communications team enhances the image and reputation of the DTCC brand and drives the growth of its businesses by creating integrated outreach programs to disseminate company news and information in communication strategies aligned with key corporate and business goals targeted to internal and external stakeholders globally.

Position Summary

DTCC is looking to hire an experienced and dynamic writer to join our team. In this position, you will play a key role in developing and driving the communications strategy and thought leadership platforms for DTCC’s senior management team, helping bring their ideas to life, identifying and recommending compelling new topics and themes and educating external and internal audiences through robust message development and creative storytelling

Specific Responsibilities


  • Partner with senior executives to translate their strategic ideas and vision into a compelling thought leadership platform that raises awareness and positions them as industry experts on key strategic priorities, including fintech, regulation, risk management, cybersecurity and Diversity & Inclusion.
  • Develop integrated thought leadership campaigns that leverage multiple channels to break through the “noise” to connect with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Serve as primary writer for a broad range of executive communications for internal and external audiences globally, including speeches and talking points, op-eds/byliners, client communications, video scripts, presentations, blogs and internal announcements.
  • Bring creative ideas on potential new topics and themes and develop original and compelling storylines to raise awareness of DTCC and the senior management team.
  • Capture the unique style and voice of our executives across all communications while ensuring consistent messaging among the leadership team globally.
  • Develop and monitor metrics to measure reach and impact of communications and to identify areas of success and opportunity. 
  • Mitigate risk by following established procedures and monitoring controls, spotting key errors and demonstrating strong ethical behavior.

  • Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in corporate communications and/or a similar position, preferably in financial services and/or banking.
  • Demonstrated track record writing about complex financial services and fintech issues and excellent copywriting skills across a wide range of styles across multiple channels.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred with Masters or equivalent experience
