The Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation (DTCC) is recruiting current college students to fill our summer intern positions across many different business areas of our company.  These positions welcome students who are interested in gaining meaningful experience within the financial services industry while expanding their knowledge and involvement in the clearing and settlement business. Our Summer Interns have the opportunity to make contributions within their business areas while simultaneously learning from experts currently working within the field.


DTCC’s Risk department is committed to being at the leading edge of risk management practices across our industry.  The Risk office is comprised of 4 main areas – Credit, Market and Liquidity Risk, Technology Risk, Operations Risk and Systemic Risk.


Interns working in the Operational Risk department may participate in the following activities: 

- Work with specialists and different business areas to understand operational risks and controls related to their processes

- Analyze and prepare operational risk data for a business area’s risk profile

- Assist in risk assessments supporting various Operational Risk processes (incident management, third party risk management, new initiatives, etc.)

- Ad hoc projects


For the Operational Risk internships in the Jersey City office, we are looking for students who are pursuing their Master’s degree.


For the Operational Risk internships in the Dallas office, we are looking for students who are pursuing their Bachelor’s (or Master’s) degree.


At this time DTCC is not considering candidates who are on student visas for this position.  


General Job Requirements:

Our intern responsibilities vary by business area, however, some general requirement s across all business areas includes:

·         Strong problem solving and analytical skills

·         Good written & oral communication skills

·         Motivated self-starter

·         Ability to grasp new concepts

·         Proficient computer and technical skills (Particularly with Microsoft Office Suite)

·         Ability to work within a team environment

·         Strong interest in the financial services industry, with previous internship experience a strong plus.
